Snow Day

It was really hard to learn with snow falling gently outside our classroom window. Miss Cranney took some video during reading to capture how hard we found it!

Ruggerland

A great website to explore all about the Rugby World Cup!

The Rugby World Cup

We have begun our learning about the Rugby World Cup. So far, in Maths, we have looked at different data about the cup and ways to present this data.

We have also looked at what we know about the cup. Some of us know lots and some not much at all.

We are moving on to look at the venues for the games and the impact the games will have on the cities that host them. Then we will look at what is needed to host a game. We will make lots of charts and diagrams to show our ideas.

Clifford In Switzerland

Did you know that Clifford had a quick trip to Switzerland at the end of Term Two? He went there with Kieran's Dad.
Here are some of the adventures he got up to and the people he met...

He flew on a fancy plane seat!
Check out the beautiful lake in Switzerland.
 Clifford loved that view.
Do you know which country this flag is from?
Some of the beautiful people who kept Clifford company in a strange land!
And you always need some family time!
At the top of a Swiss cable car.
And a little bit of child company, just to help him not miss Room Three too much :)
Where is he off to, I wonder?

Helena's Diving Camp

Helena has been working hard at developing her diving skills all year. She is getting pretty good for her age! Here are some pictures of her at one of her diving camps.

Some of the training involves gymnastics training.

It took lots of courage to be able to dive off the board!

What poise!

Erinn's Cello Demonstration

At the end of last term Erinn bought her Cello to school for us to have a look at. She has been learning how to play. She taught us all a few things about the instrument, and even allowed some people to have a go at playing the instrument!

Clifford Hits The Road With Ms Tanner

A few weekends a go Clifford went on another trip. This time it was a road trip through the North Island of New Zealand. Ms Tanner took him. Here are some of his adventures.

Do you know where each place is that Clifford visited?

Basic Facts

We recently resat a basic facts test we had sat earlier this year. The results were so much better. We have been using this site to help us, and I think it is a great site because you can alter the speed, and the difficulty.

Clifford In the USA

Clifford stopped off in Washington D.C. He want to Capitol Hill. The President of the U.S.A wasn't home so he couldn't have a cup of tea with him but he enjoyed seeing the Whitehouse, anyway.

Clifford In France

Bonjour!
Did you know Clifford visited France with Daniel, his Mum and his Dad?
Here are some highlights of his time there.
Here is Clifford infront of a very famous French structure. Do you know which one. Here is some information about it. http://www.rphs.devisland.net/zach/funfacts.htm

Clifford and Daniel visited the place where Asterix was created! How awesome for an Asterix fan like Daniel.

Clifford looking slightly lost by a famous french street sign. Your challenge is to find out more about it for Clifford.

Oh my goodness. Don't tell me you expected Clifford to eat snails? No? You ate them? Surely not?

Clifford's Big Trip-The Hong Kong Stop Over

Clifford has jet lag. He has just came back from a big overseas trip with Daniel. First he stopped off in Hong Kong. He went on a cable car, which makes Wellington's cable car look like a toy one!

Check out the view from the top of this cable car. The city down below is Hong Kong. Do you think the cloud is pollution?
This tall building is the International Financial Centre. It is quite a bit bigger than the Majestic Centre. How many floors do you think it has? Clifford knows :)

Further Adventures Of Clifford

On April the 2nd Erinn rode all the way out to Pencarrow Lighthouse with her parents and brother. Here is Clifford at the Lighthouse looking exhausted!
Erinn and her family taking a break. Can you spot Clifford?

Not many people get to go to the top of Pencarrow Lighthouse , but Erinn and Clifford were very lucky. What do you think the lighthouse is used for?  Click here for some more information http://www.historicplaces.org.nz/placestovisit/lowernorthisland/pencarrowlighthouse.aspx

The Cable Car Museum

We had a great time learning how the Cable Car works, and all about the old Cable Car. We also learnt about how people in Wellington can build their houses high up on hilltops by building their own little cable cars. Watch this space for Clifford's ride in a private little cable car in the next few days, he just needs to return from Kapiti Island, with Erinn, first :)
Heading up!

Through the tunnels...

Clifford enjoying the view.

Sitting outside on the old Cable Car

What a smile :)
What a responsibility to look after Clifford all day.

Clifford loves the Cable Car ride.

We are off up the hill!
